Get Schooled on Concussions website and resources are available free of charge to EVERY SCHOOL in Missouri through a partnership of the Brain Injury Association of Missouri, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Missouri AgrAbility, and the Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Association.
Get Schooled on Concussions for Missouri will help teachers and other school personnel:
- recognize a possible concussion
- support students in return to learn following a concussion
- gain knowledge about concussion management
- save time

What Get School on Concussions is a website featuring a Teacher Acute Concussions Tool (TACT) to implement individualized learning strategies to help concussed students, elementary through high school, while they are recovering from a concussion. Fact sheets and videos detail how to use the TACT and support a student in “return to learn.”
When Available free to every Missouri School through June 2027.
How Log into the Get Schooled on Concussions website and answer a few questions about the symptoms of the concussed student. Within five minutes, teachers will receive an email with Academic Adjustments that can be implemented immediately. Updated adjustments will be sent for four weeks. 504 or IEP is usually not needed.
Why Suggested academic adjustments from Get Schooled on Concussions help teachers save time. Students also benefit from the best-practice interventions. Most students recover from a concussion within a few weeks.
