More than 2,210 constructions workers died from brain injuries between 2003 and 2010, according to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).

Most of these fatalities were from falls. Construction workers age 65 and older are four times as likely to die from a brain injury than workers ages 25 to 34.
