Ask the Expert One-on-One
Schedule a free 15-minute appointment to have one question answered with a solution or starting point of options. Available experts include:
Hand-held Technology (cell phone, tablet)
Assistance with the alarm, contacts, email, directions, etc. You will be requested to bring your cell phone or tablet with you.
Benefits
Discuss your personal situation for SSI, SSDI, Medicare, and Medicaid eligibility. It may be helpful to bring financial and disability-related documentation.
Special Needs Trusts and ABLE Accounts
Explore benefits and viability of a Special Needs Trust or ABLE account based on your situation. It may be helpful to bring financial and disability-related documentation.
To schedule an Ask the Expert One-on-One appointment, you must register for the BIA-MO Survivor and Family Seminar at the location of your choice and sign-up for the Ask the Expert to address your question.
Travel Cost Assistance
Travel Cost Assistance may be available for survivors of brain injury and families to attend the BIA-MO Survivor and Family Seminars. This Travel Cost Assistance will be in the form of a gas gift card. The gift card amount is intended to help cover some of the travel costs to attend the Seminar.
It may not cover the full amount. This will allow more survivors of brain injury and their families to participate in the Seminars without the barrier of travel costs. Cards will be distributed at Seminar only and are limited in quantity.
On your Registration, please indicate if you request Travel Cost Assistance and the number of miles round trip you will travel to and from the Seminar.
This Travel Cost Assistance is available through a Grassroots Partnership Grant with Lifestreams.
