Get Schooled on Concussions for Missouri
Education and concussion specialists developed the Get Schooled on Concussions program to help teachers support any student in “return to learn” after sustaining a concussion.
A short questionnaire on educational content, teaching style, environment, and student factors provides strategies tailored to support a specific student. The plans are sent to your email inbox and are ready to use.
What: Get School on Concussions is a website featuring a Teacher Acute Concussions Tool (TACT) to implement individualized learning strategies to help concussed students. Elementary through high school, while they are recovering from a concussion.
Who: Every teacher, school nurse, counselor, coach, and administrator of students of all ages.
When: Available FREE to every Missouri School through June 30, 2023.
How: Log into the Get Schooled on Concussions website and complete a five-minute survey based on teaching style and a student’s unique needs. Individual strategies come to your email inbox over four weeks to help support the student through recovery, many times without the need for a 504 or IEP.
